COMMUNITY
Elizabeth Mantley Recreation Centre
At ZZap, we’re honoured to be a community partner in the architectural reimagining of the Edna Mantley Recreation Centre. As the first African Nova Scotian volunteer fire hall in Canada, serving Upper Hammonds Plains, this historic space holds deep significance for the community. Our architectural role is to support the vision of the local community with a building retrofit that addresses both interior and exterior conditions. Through thoughtful design and collaboration, we’re helping shape a space that fosters connection, creativity, and opportunity for generations to come while celebrating the building’s legacy.
